abbot elementary...where i played girls-chase-boys, lived without fear, was the queen of knock-hockey, and learned the true meaning of sharing, forgiveness, and multiplication tables. forsythe middle school...where i found out that i was a nerd, developed my first lesbian crush, ate lunch alone amongst seven other girls, and learned of the art of bowling, sexual health, and how to make a giant soccer ball out of garbage bags. pioneer high school...where i met my best friends, ate lunch in the band room, came out to 300 people at once before coming out to my parents, and learned the rhetoric of marching band, algebra, and philosophy.
